In the mountain world of the Montafon Silvretta in Austria, artists from different countries come together biennially for two weeks for a high-alpine art symposium. In the summer of 2022, nine artists artistically dealt with the given geomorphological situations, the topics of alpinism and cable car technology, the idiosyncratic atmosphere of the mountain restaurant Nova Stoba on the Versettla, which is partially empty in the summer, as well as the personal experience of nature and the mountains. Since 1998, project head Roland Haas has further developed the SilvrettAtelier Montafon as a recurring art symposium with international artist exchange and established it nationwide. In cooperation with the Kunstforum Montafon, Bildraum Bodensee is presenting the works and projects created in breathtaking high-mountain scenery for the first time in an extensive exhibition.
In der Bergwelt der Montafoner Silvretta kommen biennal Künstler:innen aus verschiedenen Ländern für zwei Wochen zu einem hochalpinen Kunstsymposium zusammen. Im Sommer 2022 setzten sich neun Kunstschaffende mit den gegebenen geomorphologischen Situationen, den Themen Alpinismus und Seilbahntechnik, der eigenwilligen Atmosphäre des im Sommer großteils geschlossenen Bergrestaurants Nova Stoba auf der Versettla sowie dem persönlichen Natur- und Bergerlebnis künstlerisch auseinander. Seit 1998 hat Projektleiter Roland Haas das SilvrettAtelier Montafon als wiederkehrendes Kunstsymposium mit internationalem Künstleraustausch weiterentwickelt und überregional etabliert. In Kooperation mit dem Kunstforum Montafon präsentiert der Bildraum Bodensee die in atemberaubender Hochgebirgs-Szenerie entstandenen Werke und Projekte erstmals in einer umfangreichen Ausstellung.
